Group Show:
City Arts Center presented musicians and visual artists collaborations for a group exhibition called Under the Influence 2 on April 25th, 2008. Kyle has created a brand new SHARE lamp as part of this show. The show consist of 50 Oklahoma City Area artists working to create 50 original pieces of art based on a selection of music.

Due to popular demand, be on the lookout for a few variations of the NEW Slab Lamp in the near future. It was a huge departure from my normal work and it is a hit! Check back often as many updates will be happening over the next few weeks.

The Friday 11-16 issue of the Daily Oklahoman ran a story about the Illumination show Exhibit Shows Furniture As Art. Writer John Brandenburg gives a positive review of the show and a very interesting take on my work:

Kyle Golding confronts us with a "Slab Light,” 96 inches wide by 60 inches high, and gives us pause with the tornado-like red funnel, lit from the inside, that seems to be boring into a wooden "Lamp Table.” Curated by City Arts Director Clint Stone, the exhibit is highly recommended during its run through Dec. 22.
